Try backing up (and then deleting) your guisettings.xml file - it resets your settings. If that fixes it, then let us know (KEEP YOUR OLD FILE!)

I had the same problem. After a restart of ATV2, the problem was resolved.

And do you have your old guisettings.xml (and the new one) for us to compare?

Same here, an exit and relaunch of XBMC seemed to work. To confirm, will deleting the xml be required? Thanks.

matbor Wrote:had the same issue, had to delete the guisettings.xml file and it was fine.
old guisettings.xml file http://pastebin.com/NNnw7wg6
newly created guisettings.xml file http://pastebin.com/YTDY6mBZ
ONE thing i have noticed..
The NEWLY created file has these settings;
Code:
<defaultvideosettings>
<deinterlacemode>0</deinterlacemode>
<interlacemethod>1</interlacemethod>
OLD file had this setting;
Code:
<defaultvideosettings>
<deinterlacemode>1</deinterlacemode>
<interlacemethod>1</interlacemethod>
Thx
Matt.
I had the same problem with audio/video sync, after upgrading from Beta 2 to RC1. Restarting Apple TV didn't help either.
However, simply editing the guisettings.xml to change
<deinterlacemode>1</deinterlacemode> to
<deinterlacemode>0</deinterlacemode> worked for me.

I checked my guisettings.xml and the deinterlacemode settings was correct (0), I rebooted my ATV2 couple of times but it didn't fix the A/V sync problem. Finally I deleted the guisettings.xml file and it worked.

Okay, I was then getting errors that files couldn't launch. After uninstalling XBMC, wiping all traces, reinstalling and still having this issue, I installed the advancedsettings.xml as recommended by XBMC team via link provided earlier in thread. Now I can get files to launch but only work for moments (while pausing continuously to buffer) and then it crashes after about 30 seconds of this stop-start. This only started on RC1! It's not my network drive because I am still able to access it through XBMC/through other computers at reasonable speeds. It seems this RC1 isn't doing too well. Does anyone have a link to any older versions so I can downgrade until there is a stable release that addresses these problems?
EDIT: And now it won't even access the network share. My headaches are endless. Shouldn't have upgraded!
