XBMC Kicks me back to Main Menu? Help!!
#1
Hey All,

I am sure this is something really simple to sort but ive been running XBMC for a good few months now without any problems but in the last month or so I start up apple tv -> XBMC -> choose folder -> choose file I want to watch but XBMC kicks me back to the apple tv main menuHuh

I re-try the procedure & everything works fine

I am running 4.2.2 and by XBMC version is Darwin 11.0.0 (hope this is what you need)

Any help would be appreciated but please bear in mind that I am a bit of a newby with this jailbraking stuff Blush

Here we go:

Operating System - Darwin 11.0.0 Darwin Kernel Version 11.0.0: Thu Feb ...
XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20110515-8b3a9fc (compiled:may 15 20...

Installed with dpkg -i latest_atv2.deb

Update to Eden RC2 (See stickies for instructions). The version you are using is very outdated.

Beside that what Ned said, it seems you have metadata extraction enabled. Please disable this in XBMC Settings - Video - Filelists as this can cause problems as well.

Sorry to be a pain but just want to confirm that to update my current version to Eden RC2 I do the following:

1. ssh [email protected]S
2. apt-get update
3. apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2

I just want to double check before I make a mistake Sad

Make sure you are facing north while typing it and you should be ok
We really should put something about that in the wiki
