Live - "Missing Operating System"
#1
I've created a bootable live USB drive using unetbootin, but everytime I select from the boot menu on my Emachines nettop I get the same error "missing operating system".

Thought it may have been a problem with the USB stick so tried a separate one to which I received a new error along the lines of remove disk and then reboot.

When booting with no usb stick, and using the hdd instead I get an error, saying "reboot and select proper boot device".

Any help would be much appreciated!

UPDATE:

I've succesfully created a bootable USB stick with xbmc live, which is recognised upon booting my emachine nettop.

However, when I attempt to select XBMC Live on the menu system, nothing happens.

And if I select 'Install XBMC Live' it begins the installation process and fails everytime at the same point, 33% of the way through, saying that the Grub installation has failed.

I've attempted to create new bootable usb sticks using multiple computers, both macs and pcs and still had no luck. Anybody have any ideas?
