Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.
In Eden, are dirty regions enabled by default? Or do we need to create/modify our advancedsettings.xml to actually enable them?
I've read http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Dirty_regions and know what the defaults are IF enabled, but I can't find anywhere that says dirty regions are enabled by default on install.
Why I'm asking (if anyone cares )?
* I've noticed the XBMC GUI is already quite a bit snappier than Dharma
* I'm investigating an issue where sending repeat events from my ipad to the HTPC to control my AV's volume via EventGhost & a USB-UIRT is slower while XBMC is running, than when it isn't running. (No change from Dharma to Eden, I just want to see if dirty regions will alleviate this or not).
Thanks.
EDIT: Using Transparency skin, v4.05.
