Win Crashing on start XP

Exclamation
Relatively new XBMC user here. I am working on putting together a HTPC using an older machine for downloaded movies and video. Currently I am running Win XP SP3, latest Directx and .net installed.Fairly old hardware which i will be replacing in the next month or so.

The problem I am having is I cannot launch XBMC, I just get the "XBMC has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." message as soon as i launch it.

Current Hardware:
AMD Athlon 3200 2.2Ghz
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 (Latest driver 175.19)

Like I said, I will be updating to Intel Pentium G850 2.9GHz Dual-Core Processor, 4GB RAM and Win 7 in the near future. Any ideas for the meantime?

Try turning on debugging in your your advancedsettings.xml file to see if the log holds any clues.
Specifically, see section 3.1 <loglevel> on the wiki.

strangely, try rolling back the nVidia driver to at least a month ago - there was a bug in new drivers. See if that helps. If not, then post a log via www.pastebin.com with instructions here in Debug Log and per xbmcfanboy0's post.
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon  AVR-3808CI  - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player  - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray  - X-Box 360  - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!
