Continuous sound with digital audio
#1
i have an amplifier that always takes about 1-2 seconds to start audio playback after the digital audio input type has been changed. if, for instance, i am listening to normal stereo audio and switch to some surround-type of input, the audio dies for a few seconds. this also happens when all input stops. for example, after i have started xbmc and i waqit for the startup effects to die away, when i start moving around the menus, i can't hear any clicking for the first few seconds. the same happens if i don't continuously keep moving the cursor. this also happens during playback; if i pause a movie, i can't hear the first few seconds of audio after i resume playback.

would it be possible to have some switch that keeps the current type of audio output active even when there is no audio to output?
