I have a 1920x1080p television. All films I have in PAL format are displayed in wrong aspect ratio.
My PAL films are 720x576 (5:4). These should be played in 4:3 ratio. So a pixel is not square, it is not 1:1.
When XMBC plays these films it scales them to 1080 pixel height, but the width is not correct, it is too small, seems like the film is scale to 1:1 pixel aspect ratio.
I have to scale the pixel aspect ratio to 1.07 (768 / 720) to get a proper width.
My films are in mkv or avi container. VDPAU is used for decoding.
Do other people have this as well?
Regards, Rodebiet.
