When's A10-5700 coming?

Anyone got any idea? Fudzilla says all is well, but elsewhere there are rumours of delays.

I'm hoping for pre-October release, I can wait much beyond that!

"the company recently confirmed [...] that Trinity is on schedule to ship to component channels some time later this year and a full listing of the desktop APUs are up on the AMD website."

So, anytime between today and Dec. 31st. Tongue

Let's hope the A10-5700 is better available than the A8-3800.

Tom's got some performance data here:

Just scanned the article and the performance jump from Llano to Trinity isn't as big as I was hoping for.

I'm wondering if AMD is entirely abandoning the FM1 socket for FM2 or if we'll see some later, newer FM1 parts.

That would be nice wouldn't it? If so, I'd jump on Llano now.

Well, my main interest is ensuring my box can decode next gen h.265/HEVC video, I think the current FM1 offerings will cover that. Hopefully my A6-3500 will be enough but something in the A8 family should do the job if the A6 doesn't. However the A8's are only going to go so high on FM1.

AMD however has a history of long life on their sockets, like the AM2/AM3 ones, so maybe we'll see some 'back ports' of Trinity chips. I guess time will tell.
