I know this is an old thread however I was considering the SSD upgrade on a Revo R3610.
By looking at this project http://homeservershow.com/repurposing-an...ows-8.html
it seems the SSD speed is bottlenecked at SATA I speeds even though the Nvidia controller is SATA II, it should perform at double speed.
By googling around it seems this is a common behavior for this nvidia crappy controller, even on macbooks

However it seems not every SSD performs at half SATA II speed on this controller as per this post:

Someone tells the Nvidia controller doesn't like Sata III drives installed so it drops the speed on those to SATA I speed, however I think that is a load of crap as SATA III specs are backward compatible with Sata II

Any of you that put an ssd in the Revo can check the real negotation speed using the Speccy program, please if so report back speed and model of the SSD.
