I cant find WD AV-GP WD10EURX where I live.
what do you think of: Western Digital Caviar Green 1000GB WD10EARX
or Western Digital Caviar Green 1000GB WD10EZRX or Western Digital AV-GP 1000GB WD10EUCX?

the av-gp is a 24/7 without server features. there are a lot of different 1TB drives (different cache, 3GB-6GB).
the green drive is for desktop systems and a bit hotter. in my nas Raid5 i began with 8x 2TB caviar-green. and one after one died and i replaced one after one with av-gp. now i have since 3 years no dead drive. thats why i like these drives. and yes the WD10EUCX is enough.

Logitech Harmony is out of budget for the moment, looking for something cheaper.

You get a new Harmony 300 for 15 bucks!
Even a no-name remote would cost 10 bucks, so a Harmony is your best bet

I can't find it where I live - only A75M-HVS or A75M-ITX

Can you recommend on IR?

Can it open the TV on HDMI + open receiver + open HTPC in 1 macro?

There are several HP receivers on eBay for a few bucks...
I bought my one in a German shop...
Google for "Cohaus Shop Berlin"...there you see the product ID that you can search on eBay...

To be honest, I have no clue if the 300 has macro support...my 650 definitely does...but the Logitech page is quite good...

I was thinking of getting Logitec Harmony 600 to control my HTPC.
Do I need to get a dongle it to work or could use the onboard cir?
