I was able to get a refund for the HDD and I've already purchased a replacement 3TB Red. Let the fun continue!

The setup is progressing well.
The contents of the old server has been transferred to the new drive.
I have set up the required accounts on the new server.
All that is left to do (for now) is redo the XBMC Library and figure out how to switch users via command line.
And a big thanks to dvined for pointing me in the direction of FreeFileSync. A much nicer alternative to SyncToy which I've used previously.
