Hi,
i have xbmcbuntu runing on my machine (installed - not live cd)
unfortunately i forgot my user password so i can't run sudo commands.
does anyone know how to reset user password? i have tried using root user but don't have pass for that one either.

You have to install it once again.

Getting "root" to work you will make the user usable. For this you need to enter this:

sudo passwd root

Then you have to enter a password for the "root"-user

BUT, you will first need your userpassword for the sudo-command. If you don´t have it, it´s impossible to work with your machine.

Make a new install and remember your password for the future
