While I'm still working on my HTPC build I'm trying to make sure I have everything lined up start to finish before i begin. That is also including OS and software to install. A lot of info from google is outdated and I am trying to figure out what is current. If i am using HDHomerun will I need to run a set up involving mythTV to record or will the work done on Eden PVR suffice?

Ordered my build parts today should be here by Friday. While I plan on using sickbeard, I still want some of my shows recorded from live TV. Can anyone point me in the right direction or help me with the basics of the set up?
Is MythTV my best option? I would prefer to use Windows 7, but would this be best served by Linux?

Now the rough answer I'm getting over on avsforum is HDHomerun------->WMC------->MCEBuddy------>XBMC. Is this my best bet? Anyone have a similar set up?

I don't know much about PVR backends myself, but if you search you should find tons of threads about this.
