Luckily my favorite 30mm tall low profile HSF is making its way back to the USA. I just grabbed 10 of them from FrozenCPU, their whole stock. I ran out of my last one about a month ago. Sad

How about this "Gelid CC-SSILENCE-IPLUS" with 28mm in overall height? SuperBiiz have better price on it- GELID Solutions Slim Silence i-Plus ....

It rated slightly lower noise level too....

>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

This new Phanteks PH-TC90LS seems to be more silent than the Gelid Iplus http://www.phanteksusa.com/index.php?p=p...=27&cate=1
I own the Gelid and I found it silent and well built. The Gelid peaks @ 27,8 db (A) while the Phanteks reach 26 db (A). The Phanteks has 3 heatpipes but Gelid only has 1. The fan size for the Gelid is 75 mm, but 92 mm for the Phanteks so I guess it helps keeping lower sound levels.

That Gelid is one of my three favorite low profile coolers. I costs twice the Titan and for HTPC at 1+m away the sound is the same. When I need 1U though the Gelid is it.

This one looks interesting and I've heard good things. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pccooler-Blade-P...0789755062

I wish there were more low profile AMD choices.

But it is almost double the overall height of the Gelid iPlus....

If you buy it from SuperBiiz, it is not twice the price. I bought stuffs from them all the times. They're as good as Newegg. Here is the link- http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?p=FA...b6d95faea8

It's interesting, but I'm not sure how reliable is the seller, and I don't shop on eBay.....

Because AMD tend to generate more heat than Intel. It's harder to keep it cool with a smaller heatsink....

At least though with that style you can replace the fan -- something nice in a 80x15.

Any fans that you can recommend?
This one comes with a 80 x 80 x 10mm

so yes a 15mm would be nice... and it will fit.
