Hi,
I use XBMC on Linux Mint 13 with Gnome (because with Cinnamon XBMC will not start).
Until yesterday XBMC worked perfectly, but now when I start a movie XBMC freezes and I have to turn off the power to the PC.
The videos that I play are on a Linux Ubuntu Server 12.04 and are shared via NFS (Network File System).
How can I fix this issue?
Thanks!

Welcome to the XBMC forums.
Be sure your server is available (not in suspend mode) before you launch XBMC. You can also try playing a video file located on your local disk to see whether or not you also get a "freeze" condition.

Thanks for the reply and for the welcome!
I checked if the sever was accessible from XBMC and in fact it wasn't.
Is there a way to remove the sources from XMBC without starting XBMC?
Otherwise, if the source is not accessible XBMC crashes.
thanks
Bye

Hi
Navigate to /home/username/.xbmc/userdata and remove sources.xml

Or from within XBMC: Videos > Files and navigate to the entry for your server media source; highlight the item and open the context menu (press "c" on keyboard or click right mouse button) and select "Remove source". If you also want to remove the library entries for the media files on your server source, respond "Yes" when prompted on the "Unassign content" window.
