hi there, i am a newbie, and i would like to ask how you setup to stream pplive on your xbox? i gather you put your ip address in the config.xml file on your xbox but whereabouts in the config.xml

i know this sounds stupid! but i would really like a step-by-step setup.

i am trying to stream a pplive stream from my pc to the xbmc.
sometimes it work very good ( for example nba streams ) , but when i try to stream a movie a get a mistake in the xbmc log :

i find the wmv9dmod.dll in the codecs path but the other 2 dll i don´t find anywghere (oleaut32.dll & shlwapi.dll ).

it´s seems, that the codec ist not working fine.

hi there,

i'd like to get pplive streaming through my xbmc

what are the basic steps required.

i've obvioulsy got it running on my pc already and the xb is on the local network.

ok, tried all the ways in this thread to no avail.

i get a couple of spurts of sound and it sits there with the word "buffering" at the bottom of the screen for about 5 minutes then returns to the menu.

this is the log output from xbmc. (cvs build march 5 )

when i tried to run it thru 'getasfstream' and ccx-gui it again stuttered for about 20 seconds then dumped the audio and the video played fine !!

very frustrating. any ideas guys ?
i'm dying to watch the starsports f1 on the tv instead of the pc !! :help:

this is old post, but quite useful. i tried as bluenose suggested. it is quite goood for picture, no more drop out on xbox, but no sound. did you guy get that working with sound or just pictiure?

they have since been upgraded, and i can no longer figure out how to get it to stream.
if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
