not as far as i know, only i could think of if you rename them regarding to your liking like... james bond: goldfinger; james bond: you only live twice .. and so on so that they grouped through alphabetical sort order

Has there been any progress with series grouping (Star Wars, LOTR, etc, displaying as a single item in library view)?

The old thread is pretty dead and I was wondering if this were something we could overcome with an Aeon mod of some kind, instead of changing the xbmc code itself.
