Hi,

I have the Noah Company MediaGate GP-IR02BK remote. I have had the remote since January. In addition, I use http://xbmccustomregis.sourceforge.net/ software to control xbmc, thus far it has been a fantastic experience. Since yesterday, the remote stopped functioning. I can't figure out if its the remote or the infrared receiver. I tried removing/reinstalling the driver but no resolution. I use win7. Any suggestions?

Did you already try replacing the batteries in the remote?

Yes, I replaced them last week. The light on the remote and on the infrared receiver light up when I press a button. I replaced them again tonight and it works. The batteries I replaced last week were just strong enough to light up the remote and the receiver, which kinda threw me. Thanks for the suggestion.

OK, glad it was a simple solution that did not require having to pore through configuration files and logs!
