Black screen issue is back in this build ! But if i install this https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6902...ux-arm.zip
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1416820, there is no more blackscreen

Otherwise
- Aspect ratio is OK!
- Audio is offset by about 200-300ms. Not ok
-If i press up or down in audio settings meny (when watching live tv) xbmc changes channel OK
-Channel switching with numbers (1,2,3 etc) dosn`t work, when i press a number the meny comes up, but dosn´t change channel. OK
-Also found out that subtitles only works on sdtv channels, not hdtv ( but this is not new, same in other gotham builds) Not OK

Is this just live TV, or does it apply to recordings?
Does it apply to other files?

I'm on vacation now and havn't tried recordings in the past weeks.
Will try and let you know this weekend. Thanks for looking in to this .

Hi,

I'm getting similar results to the others here. I think the offset is only on the live TV - I haven't done any "scientific" testing though.

Thanks rbej and popcornmix and any others who have contributed to these fixes. Black screen, wrong aspect ratio and low audio have been major issues affecting the WAF of XBMC/Tvheadend on the Pi - whilst it's not quite there yet, we are now very close!

Cheers!

I'm struggling to think of a reason why live TV would be out of sync compared to a recording of the same file.

Any information (from everyone) will be helpful:

If you put in the 200/300ms audio adjustment, and apply it to all files is live TV always in sync?
Do recordings of the same programs require the same offset?
Do other ts files have the same offset?
Do other non-ts files have the same offset?
Has this ever worked better in a previous build on the Pi?

Ok, this is strange. Big Grin
I wanted to test the latest gotham branch rbej build to answer your questions, but currently i am unable to notice any delay. But i have no idea if it is now fixed or it is just some lucky coincidence. I will try it again when i will have more time.
Otherwise it seems now everything works perfect. Aspect ratio is ok, channel switching works and is almost as fast as on my atom based HTPC, no black screen issues anymore.

Whoever fixed it: thank you very much!

Finally!

For a short time i lost hope for the rbp as the perfect energy efficient media center.

Now i think the time has come to sell my 6 atv2 on ebay and use the rbps instead.

Thank you all for your patience and the continuously good work!

Still the same offset, audio is 300ms behind video.
No difference with
-Livetv from Tvheadend
-Tvheadend recordings from xbmc pvr
-Or recorded Tvheadend recordedtv.mkv from video->files
- Or Dreambox recordedtv.ts from video->files

Here is a small sample recording from tvheadend

Try new Gotham build with updated PVR addons.

Same audio offset as before in live-tv/ mpeg2.
Otherwise seems good. Smile

Edit.

All subtitles on live-tv are now broken, both on sd channels and as before on hdtv. They are not showing up.

Hi popcornmix,

I am getting similar audio offset on live tv for latest gotham build.
I have front and backend on Pi.
You asked if there was a release that wasn't doing this?

If I roll back to gotham build 14704, sync is very good - although aspect ratio can be a bit flakySmile
this is using TVH 3.0.11 and client 1.7.19.
Gui is sluggish compared to later builds but I can live with that if audio is good

Hope this helps

Don´t know if relevant but audio/video seems to be in perfect sync for livetv in http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1464168

It has some other issues:
- Sometimes, but not always has 5-10 sec blackscreen before picture comes in live-tv.
-Live tv is stalling when i access "home" pvr meny, never had this issue before
