Default Sound Level
#1
Hi folks,

i'm wondering if i can set a default sound level in xbmc...? Huh Like on startup the sound level should always be at '-50 DB'. At this time xbmc remebers my last setting.
What i would like is to startup xbmc with background music - which should not smack my ears, when i was watching a movie the day before at '0 DB'.

Thanks in advance

During playback, bring up the audio setting screen as shown below, set the volume and set it to default for all movies-

I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Word of caution - solution only works on files decoded by xbmc. If bitstreaming - the function is not accesible on RC2 and I think Frodo builds prior to that.

Thanks for the answer, but this just works for movies, as 'set as default for all movies' explains... But i search for a general setting, so that my music also starts at a predefined sound level! Do you have a suggestion for that?
