Hi all,

I'm quite new to this, so please excuse any fopars!

I have a RaspberryPi with XBMC installed, a RaspBMC. I have got IR Remote like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edition-Infrared...215&sr=8-1.

It works quite well but the skip forward and back buttons do not give any response.

I have spent today looking through pages in this site and many others and have learned something about LIRC, keymaps, irrecord, Lircmap.xml and dozens of other related subjects. I have become rather confused.

Please, could somebody tell me how make the two buttons, Skip Forward and Skip Back, work on my remote.

First, you should be asking on the Raspbmc forums here http://forum.stmlabs.com The keymaps for the MCE remotes in Raspbmc have been updated recently so the first thing to do is go into the settings app and install a recent xbmc nightly build. If that doesn't take care of it then it's best to ask on their forum.
