QNAP Launches Turbo NAS Series Featuring XBMC
#1
QNAP, Inc. launched its latest mid level NAS Series, the TS-x69 Pro and TS-x69L Series with XBMC.
These are powered by an Intel® Atom™ 2.13 GHz Dual-Core processor with expandable memory up to 3GB

The TS-x69 Pro and L series come in 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 bay models with prices ranging from $479 for the 2-bay models to $1,099 for the 8
bay models.

However,...it seems that the XBMC Media Center has to be downloaded (for free) from QNAP's web-site.
Not sure why they didn't just integrate XBMC into the product.

Seen that today. I doubt it will play HD stuff right? I don't think most will go for it..

I think will be marketed to those who want an all-in-one device, don't want to build a HTPC or unRaid box.
Plus they'll get the people who figure they can call "tech support" if things go wrong.

I just stopped a friend from buying an all-in-one PC for $2,000
He hadn't even done any research about what he could buy otherwise.

It looks like HD station from QNAP plays HD videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li-Ok--Cv1I

Overall seems like pretty promising product for users looking for a "all in one" solution. They also have a promotional video too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu59r_MrV...gg&index=2
