Linux Shoutcast not working and not recording internet radio
#1
Hi. I have XBMC 11.0 installed on my Linux Mint x64 13. I cannot using shoutcast service (could connect to remote server). I have setup: "shout://classic.shoutcast.com/sbin/newxml.phtml/". I never changed this, so why is not working? The same problem I have on XBMC under Xbox.

Second: I created playlist based on titles from shoutcast service. They played ok, but I cannot record them. But I wanted to record them. How can I do that? The same problem is under xbox version, too.

Use the Shoutcast 2 add-on: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=143678

Don't understand what you mean here. Shoutcast isn't built into XBMC. There used to be the option to add Shoutcast as a music source, but that hasn't been available in several years and for several versions.

Don't know.

BTW, we no longer support the XBOX version of XBMC.

This problem is avaible under Linux version, too.

My XBMC version under Linux and Xbox has shoutcast as default source.

If it's XBMC 11.0 and it has Shoutcast available by default, then you're not using a standard XBMC installation.
