Hi Nightflyer,
I woluld like to report a strange thing related to live streaming.

Trying to play the Rai 3 live stream through the plugin, as we know, it does not work (tested on Kodi 16.1 and 17 alpha2, Windows and Android x86 version).

Otherwise, If I play the Rai 3 live stream through an old Rai 3 favorite item (created a lot of fime ago from Rai On Demand plugin), it works!
It works on Kodi 16 and 17, Android x86 version (installed on a Nexus Playr updated to Android 6.0.1).

Looking at log, it seems Kodi has found a valid stream:

seems rai changed things again, a new player or something. Anyway, on my windows machine through the chrome browser, all rai streaming now works as normal. Is it possible to update the rai on demand plugin for xmbc? Or is it technically or personally no longer possible?

I'm going to develop some more features and fix some more bugs before pushing an update to kodi repo. Watch my github repo for changes. I do this in my very limited free time. So you have to be patient.

Anyway I do not plan to support protected HLS streams (with AES-128) inside the plugin. This is Kodi's job.

Moreover, the fact that the streams work fine inside Chrome/Windows is irrelevant because these are Adobe HDS streams (not supported by Kodi).

I cannot find any color reference on the code, I think you used the default color of website...

@nightflyer, I do a massive use of your add-on, so really many thanks!
I use it on a WETEK Play device (with android OS) with no issues.

Now I added (under the same LAN) an additional device (android TV dongle, MK809III) with Kodi 16 pre-installed. I installed (from standard Kodi repository) the Rai On Demand add-on, but it doesn't work. The add-on doesn't start at all and a generic error message is displayed by kody, whereas the add-on on the first device (WETEK) is still working fine.

Could you help me to find and fix the problem? maybe some dependencies? or some Kodi settings?

Ok, i supposed it... but where can I find the log?
I tried to search it, but the only log .txt file that I found reported only a generic 'Rai On Demand add-on failed' or something similar... should this be helpful anyway?

no it isn't. every kind of errors show that thing.
for the log you have to enable the debug under kodi settings.
here all the info you need

have to add that using the version of kodi already loaded in the box should be the reason of your errors.
if it isn't a modded version made for that kind of box (i'm talking about special version for strange firmware) i will wipe and instal an original kodi one from playstore or from an apk downloaded from https://kodi.tv/download/.
