hi all new to this i have a question i have xbmc running on my raspberry pi but i cant seem to be able to connect it wireless no problems wired tried all the settings in the xbmc but no joy.

Not enough information for anyone to help you.
You need to state which XBMC distribution you are using (OpenELEC, Raspbmc, Xbian, Raspbian with XBMC?) and the make/model of your WiFi dongle. Maybe then someone with experience of that distribution and/or dongle can chip in. Until then, I doubt anyone will bother trying to help.
