HP Proliant Microserver N40L - What software?
#1
Question
Hi Guys,
I have had an HP Proliant Microserver N40L stashed in my closet for over 6 months.
I am finally ready to buy a 4 (or more) HD's and set up the machine as a Media Server for my Windows XBMC frontend. [I will be adding another frontend soon].
My household is both Mac and PC and ideally, I would like to use the server from both platforms.
My requirements for the server are:
-SabNZBD
-Torrent DL Client
-CouchPotato
-SickBeard
-Headphones?
-Headless, Remotely controllable (it will be stashed in a closet and connected via ethernet, maybe powerline)
-Secure and reliable data storage

I have considered UnRaid and even semi-started it, but I lost interest when I precleared my first drive...

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
NVidia Shield Pro
Firestick
Wetek Core
Panasonic P60ST30

Been running unRAID on my ProLiant for ages. Only really use it for Recorded TV server duties but it just works. Have a larger unRAID set-up for Movies - which I've run since 2008. It just works too. Have migrated from 500GB to 1TB to 2TB drives with no major issues.
