[Linux] Intel GPU support for 16-235 levels AND HD Audio
#16
I think I'm running into the same problems as everyone mentions here on my new Intel NUC with core i3 / Ivybridge.

Kernel 3.9 does seem to correct the black levels, however HD Audio is broken. Does the link above (CTLINDEX HD Audio edits) fix that?

When is 3.9 supposed to be done and will the HD audio be corrected without any additional work?

i really don't know, I'm not quite that much of an expert.

Can I install Kernel 3.9RC5 and then apply the CTL patch to get HD Audio working again?

Or just wait for 3.9 to come out?

Chances are that the CTLINDEX changes will fix things for you - that is ALSA not the kernel.

@Pasoa2021

It was a rhetorical question.

Gotcha. @Drae - So you're saying to install kernel 3.9RC5 (which breaks HD Audio for me currently, but corrects blacks levels) - Then make the CTL changes and that should get HD audio working again?

FYI - Installed 3.9RC6 and this solved the HD Audio problems.

Hello, I've an AMD GPU (H4200) using oss driver. There is a way to select the color space to small RGB like for Intel GPU?

Thanks
