I've been running a Sandy Bridge I3 for a while now, and it's not exactly ideal for movies as a lot of you I'm sure know. It can struggle on high bitrates 1080p MKVs and panning scenes looks absolutely awful with the frame drops.
Is Ivy Bridge much improved? I'm looking to replace the motherboard and CPU soon, but not sure if I should go AMD or Intel this time. Thiguths? Experiences?
