Win Hard locks while viewing video library
#1
So this started yesterday, just built a new system, installed MB + videocard drivers, hooked up my media drive, and I get a hard lock. No alt-ctrl-del, no power button reset, I had to actually hit the switch on the back of the PSU.

Here is my DxDiag, here is the XBLA.log.

I've tried this on both a Windows 8 Pro install (fully updated as of this morning), as well as a Windows 7 install (no version number available).

I've tried both Frodo 12.1 as well as Eden 11.0. I am at a loss.

The tail end of my XBLA log says the following, the rest is mainly display resolutions:

I can provide more info on request. I just am not understanding why XBMC, which has been so rock solid for me since I had it on my Xbox, is now crashing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Update.

I've switched back to Win7, installed the latest ATI Catalyst Drivers, installed XBMC to another HDD in my PC, turned on Hardware Acceleration, but I am still getting hard locks in XBMC when browsing through my "Movies" feed.

Here is the XBLA Log file which doesn't even show a crash, it just abruptly ends.

Here is my full DxDiag.

Here is the XBMC Crash Log (as a downloadable file)

Any help is appreciated, I am stumped. I bought the parts for this PC specifically for living room gaming and media watching, so not having this work is a fairly big downer right now.
