Hello,

I'm new with xbmc and I'm very satisfied
Now I would upgrade from 12.0 to 12.1.
The problem why I ask is, I use an MySQL database to synchronize all my stuff for all my devices.
The database is located on my server and the server didn't have xbmc installed, only my database.
All of my other clients in my local network are using xbmc (12.0) and the connection to my database.

Is there a simple way to upgrade to 12.1?
Can I simply install over my old 12.0?

You should be able to just install the 12.1 version on top of the 12.0 and everything will work as before.
At least I had no issues with my setup. In addition I still use some clients with the 12.0 version in parallel.

Look out, cause when you re-export and import, your thumbs wont work anymore, i got that problem !
So just overinstall and go ,)

Alright... I installed now 12.1 over my old version and it's still all there
I was probably a little too scared, because the database story ^^
