Hi, I'm trying to make a webcam stream play in xbmc. The webcam is connected locally and the motion daemon is making the mjpeg stream. the .strm file contains:

When I play the .strm, the webcam image appears but then freezes, and the buffering warning appears. Nothing happens until I press play again in xbmc, when the video will catch up playing all the frames that have been buffering, but then freeze again. Is there any way to get this stream to play smoothly?

I don't think its an issue with motion because I can open the .strm file in vlc both locally and remotely and it streams fine.

Now that I've left it running for a while, I notice that it occasionally seems to catch up all the frames at high speed, then freeze again. Looking at the log it seems like it's trying to fix it at 25fps? Or maybe I'm reading that wrong.
