Duplicate episodes

Hello everyone,
Before I get into my issue, I just want to say that I am loving XBMC! I used to have an Argosy media player which I've sold to buy an HTPC.

For one particular TV show I have about 20 of the same items (when accessed through TV Shows>Whose Line Is It Anyway?). On the other hand, accessing that folder through Videos>Files>Whose Line Is It Anyway? provides just one of the problem file.

I am not quite sure what other information you'd need but I'd be happy to provide anything you need. I have an advancedsettings.xml running, here are its contents:

Quote:<advancedsettings>
<tvshowmatching action="prepend">
<regexp>Season[\._ ]([0-9]+)[\\/]([0-9]+)([^\\/]*)$</regexp>
</tvshowmatching>
</advancedsettings>

And here is a video showing me scrolling through the problem area: http://www.filedropper.com/brokenxbmc

And of course xbmc.log: http://pastebin.com/xGuKVATF[/quote]

My system is running the following:
Quote:XBMC 12.1 Git:20130317-0d373cc (Compiled: Mar 17 2013)
Windows 7 HP x64 build 7600
2.4ghz i3
8GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics
nVidia GeForce GT420M (XBMC doesn't utilize this graphics card)

Hi!

See if this helps http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Vid...s/TV_shows
The Problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.
Do you understand?

I had the same problem with having duplicate Episodes. I fixed it by backing up the folder of my specific show so I wouldn't accidentally delete it while in XBMC. After that I opened XBMC, highlighted the show, and then hit the shortcut key of 'C' which brings up a menu list. I clicked Remove Show From Library, and once I did that it looked like I had the series layered underneath it for a second time since different fan art popped up after I hit the Remove option. So even though it was showing for me one file in the Video > Files and two files of every episode in the Tv Show Menu, it looks like I had the series in there twice somehow. But after Removing the problem show once, it cleared everything up. Hope that helps.

I had that same problem with duplicate tv shows. After I deleted one copy, it showed as just one. But the next time xbmc started, it would update the database and have duplicates again. So I removed both instances from the library. On the next startup, it added back, twice! I ended up uninstalled and reinstalling xbmc altogether. A pain, but it fixed my duplicates!
