FFmpeg 3.0 for Kodi 16.1 or 16.2?

Hello

Just a quick question about latest version of the FFmpeg libraries v3.0. Will this be added to Kodi for either update 16.1 or 16.2 or is it only possible for v17 later this year.

No way for Kodi 16. That will only get fixes for crash and burn bugs.
It will probably be in Kodi 17, but currently there are a couple of issues preventing that.

For personal usage you can try this patch to compile Kodi 16 with ffmpeg 3.0:
