Win Video randomly stops...
#1
I don't really know how to load up a debug file or a crash file. But I've googled this a bit and I keep hearing that there's some kind of issue with the buffer. This happens in VLC also. I know this probably isn't a XBMC specific problem, I was wondering if anyone fixed it or has somehow come up with a workaround or something?

Background:

I'm running 2 external HDD's off of a MacBook Pro (the HDD's are in the Mac format and are filled with movies and TV shows). They are being streamed over my WiFi to my Windows 7 PC which is hooked up to my projector. It worked a few months ago when I was running Boxee...but when I installed XBMC, it seemed to start. If ANYONE could help, I would greatly appreciate it. ANYTHING! I hate that I can't continuously watch my movies from start to finish without it kicking me back out to the movie select screen. Thank you! If you need any info, please let me know and how to get you that info. Thanks.

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

Please upload a debug log (wiki) to www.xbmclogs.com that shows you playing a movie and then having it quit and returning to the listing page. Post the assigned URL of your uploaded log here with your reply.

Hi!

First I would recommend as common practice not to use " ' " in network/filenames

ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting smb://MEDIAMBP/Teebok's 1TB/Movies/extrafanart/
ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting smb://MEDIAMBP/Teebok's 2TB/Movies/extrafanart/

but this is not your problem,

20:35:21 T:5580 ERROR: ffmpeg[15CC]: [matroska,webm] Read error <-- possible error in the video file you are trying to play, or a problem with ffmpeg.

20:35:29 T:5384 ERROR: Got MSGQ_ABORT or MSGO_IS_ERROR return true <-- read this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?pid...3pid941117
The Problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.
Do you understand?

I so read the link you posted, and the only way to resolve this seems to be to convert all my .mkv's to .mp4's...did I come to the right conclusion?
