Hey all,

I have done a bunch of searching and cant figure out what is going on. It seems I have an audio issue in XBMC with only MKV files. Its just all loud noise. I cant make out anything at all. But I can open the same file in VLC and the audio is fine. mp4 HD movies seem to play fine in XBMC

Has anyone else ran into this issue. If so any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated, this forum hasnt failed me yet. I have tried a few builds with no solution yet. Right now running 12.2 from May 2nd. I am not sure what happened have had no issue with mkv files for months and all of a sudden it just stopped.

Settings -> System -> Audio output ->

Turn off all the "...capable receiver" options.

Hey Ned thanks so much. That seemed to be it. Weird how its been working this whole time and all of a sudden was getting scrambled.
