Req security camera add-on
#1
I have been looking for some type of add-on for xbmc to incorporate my security cameras. i have found tons of how to stream the video BUT does anyone know if there is anyway to have an add-on that works more like a security dvr with IP cameras.

the cameras captures movement and records it to disc. sounds simple when i say it but its way above my skillz. There are tons of open source software that does this but none incorporated with xbmc. if some one could build something that works im sure donations would go up no question i would. i really like the way " v i t a m i n d i n c . c o m " does the movement capture

tia to any programming genius that takes the time to write some code that works

Some PVR backend servers/software can be made to work with security camera feeds, so they would work in XBMC just like "channels". What's the brand/model of your cameras?

Here's some leads that might work using STRM files.

Not much, but it's a start.

I second the security camera add-on. I mostly use a few Trendnet IP Cams in the kids rooms to keep an eye on them. I figured out how to pull the mpeg stream with audio from the cameras using a strm file but you can only watch one strm at a time. What I would like to do is set the strm files to cycle (say every 10 seconds) and just continue cycling until I stop it. It doesn't look like you can loop streams in either PLS or STRM files. I think this would be relatively simple to do with a few lines of Python but I am unsure how to go about getting started on this.Does anyone have any add-ons that cycle through strm files? Any sample code to help get me started?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi, Great addon!

Quick question, is there any way to have the slide out window not take the focus?

I have it in the onload and onunload of the home screen, but Id like to have it there all the time when Im using the home screen (using OSMC skin and it doesnt get in the way).

As it is at the moment I have to press back on the remote (offical kodi iOS app) before I can use the home menu.

TIA
