Hi,

I run full-range loudspeakers as mains in a 2.0 configuration. They have sufficient bass output to handle the subwoofer track from movies.
I output SPDIF from my HTPC to a 2 channel DAC which then runs to my speakers. Is there a way to add the subwoofer track to the mains track and output that over 2.0 digital? Can I do this in XBMC? If not can I do this easily through Windows or even through another 3rd party application?

Not as far as I'm aware, you'd be remixing the whole audio signal in real-time and would probably not have the result you're looking for. AC3-Passthrough (DD 2.0) is likely your best option.
