I tried it once and soon gave up. I can't remember what exactly the issue was, but I remember there being multiple issues and it driving me mad.

I think that's the only backend that currently works on Mac OS X :\

Myth backend works fine here on OSX. Are you using 0.25 or 0.26? I had no problems with 0.25 but to get 0.26 working I needed to add timezone information to get it working with SQL. I followed the steps on their WIKI here:

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Myth_On_Mac_Osx

Info on the timezone prerequisite for 0.26 is here:

Ok... well I'm quite new to mac, but I will try to follow the links you posted!
0.26 backend-setup will not start! 0.25 seemed to work, tuning and everything, but could not make it work in xbmc or mythtv frontend.
Now I have deleted everything completely and will tryk again! Nice to know it is possible Smile

If 0.26 starts (you see the Backend open) but closes within a few seconds it's likely the timezone. I stayed on 0.25 for months because I could never get 0.26 working. After reading the fine print in the 0.26 release notes, I added timezone info and 0.26 ran perfectly. It's a start anyway...
