no wifi after installing 12.2
#1
1. Updated non-boothing 5.2 ATV2 to 5.3 jailbreak using seasonpass
2. booted (tethered) using seasonpass boot loader
3. got wifi going on ATV2
4. connected to ATV2 from my Mac (sitting next to it) using ssh admin@IP
5. Went through all the instructions here : http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW..._2#ATV_5.x : for item 2.1, nothing else
6. Rebooted appletv, did another tethered boot
7. Stuck at "setting date and time".
8. Pressed "menu" on ATV2 remote
9. Settings > General > Network -> my network isn't showing
10. Tried entering ssid of my router. Scanned for 10 minutes. Nothing.
11. Reboot. Tethered boot. Stuck at "setting date and time". Menu past it. No wifi. Rinse and repeat.

Everything was working up until XBMC was put on it.

Unrelated to XBMC. If in doubt apt-get remove org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 for removing it.

Sure thing. How do you apt-get remote something when there's no wifi connection to the device any more, because the "unrelated" thing that was installed has stopped it from working?

You take the ATV2 over to your router (no TV required) and plug in an ethernet cable.

Nito has not been installed, I've only ever had trouble with nito in the past.
