Win not sure if old pc is enough for xbmc

So im helping a friend set up his own xbmc htpc. he has an old HP Pavilion s7220n Slimline PC, which first came on the market around 2005 I believe. Here are the specs per the website, and im basically wondering if its powerful enough to run 1080p video and 3d.

CPU wise, no. Maybe with a PCI GPU (seems to have one slot) like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814187206

ok, so would you recommend that I just have him buy/build something new or order this part and swap it in?

Just go with a newer build. You can buy a new desktop pc for around $300, but can build your own for around the same with better specs, by starting with a barebones kit from someplace like Newegg.

Personally, I'd piece together a system from scratch for better value...A75/Trinity would be a good start.
