I have a pi , been running for months connected to Mint 15 box, no problems - My SSD performance degraded, so I reloaded Mint back on SSD - same names/pw/shares/etc

Now , from the pi, when I try to rebuild the library, Access Workgroup, shares show, asks for id/pw, it won't accept it - just blinks and goes back to share

Nothing changed on Pi - I have checked samba config against backup copy and all is exactly the same ,

What am I missing - help appreciated before I bang my head on the wall

There is probably some clue in the logs - look in /var/log for logs pertaining to smbd and nmbd (cannot remember what else is likely to be useful, and haven't got a system handy to look)
