Solved Copying MyVideos75.DB from one PI to another
#1
I have 2 PI's setup in my house. MY problem is when I watch a movie on one, it does not transfer to the other one. So when I go to the other one and want to view only unwatched movies, I still see the movie I just watched on the other PI.

With WinSCP I can ftp and pull my .db. If both PI's librarys are setup the exact same, can I copy the .db from one to the other? Or is there another way to do this aside from going onto the other PI and manually marking by hand every movie and TV show episode I have watched?

You want yo use a shared SQL database, and have both Pi's connect to that.

edit: popcornmix beat me to it..
that may work, tho syncing the .db files is not recommended. can you setup mysql on the computer you host your media on? if so this will get you started:

theres a few other great threads in this forum for multiple xbmc clients

Do I still have to add the files to all my devices? I got the sql setup and when I add files to my server (windows machine), I can go on the PI's and I can see all the movies but it does not show me fanart or anything when I hover over the movie. Do I still have to add all those files to the PI's just as I did with my windows server?

edit...

Weird. The PI will display TV show banners, fanart, etc. Wont show anything for movies. Going to reformat SD card, start from scratch on the PI again.

Yah, same thing. TV shows show everything, movies show nothing.

There's also some add-ons for syncing just watched status: Syncing and sharing (wiki)
