GUI overlay on top of Screensaver - Image Retention

Hey,

When I pause a video, and the screensaver activates after whatever time you set, the "pause GUI overlay" is actually on top of the screensaver.

This can cause issues with image retention on Plasma TV's. Is there a way to turn this off? Is it a bug?
