I currently have 6 HD's ranging from 2TB to 4TB. I would much prefer to unify my drives in 1 drive letter by way of a NAS but i dont want to use a raid type of setup. Anyone have a solution to this? I have limited experience with a NAS (having owned one several years ago).
Any details as to how you setup up multiple drives to work with XBMC would be appreciated.

You can also link all of your hard drives you want to the Windows libraries (Pictures, Music, Video, etc) to do a similar thing.

At the mo it's
C: OS drive [windows 8]
D: SAB / Sickbeard downloads landing pad
E: Files / Photos / Dropbox / Box.net / iTunes / Music
F: TV
G: Movies 1
H: Movies 2
I: Movies 3
Only non automated part is moving stuff from D: to correct drive.
XBMC has SMBs to F/G/H/I. One consolidated movie library and telly library.
Simples.
I don't do raid. If OS drive breaks. It gets wiped and reinstalled. Only lost data is installed program's. which is listed in D:
No faffing about rebuilding arrays.
If any other drive breaks down. Then it is replaced and restored by its twin kept off site. [i buy two drives at a time]
Backups take place every 4 weeks for media. Important stuff [E: is clouded and backed up as often as required]
