Hi all, newbie to forums and to Apple TV.

I've got an Apple TV 1st gen and It has openelec installed on it with the latest version of XBMC 12.2 frodo. Everything works fine, but when it starts up it boots straight to xbmc. I just want to no if I can use it as a normal Apple TV box and xbmc. Or am I just stuck with it booting to xbmc on start up.
I'm not new to xbmc as I have it on Jailbroken ipad, iPod, android phone and windows pc.
I'm just very new to the Apple TV device, and don't no much about it.

Please be kind in responses guys.

OpenELEC has replaced the entire OS on the ATV1. There is nothing of the normal ATV software even left on the hard drive (unless you reinstall it, which would uninstall OpenLEC). It's one or the other.

You could do OpenELEC on a USB boot stick and original ATV OS on the internal HDD, if you don't mind rebooting between OSes.
