I had a Mac Mini with Mavericks installed and had no problem connecting my ATV1 via AFP to it to play videos. I've had this setup for over a year.
This week I bought a new iMac and with the same setup the same sharing procedure doesn't work anymore. The iMac shows up in the list (both SMB and AFP shares) but selecting either of them does nothing. It doesn't go any farther than the list of shares.
I can't figure out what's different from one computer to the next. For all I know they are set up exactly the same. I seem to recall having this problem a long time ago with the mini but can't figure out what I did on my mac to correct it...
