As the topic describes, i have a 3.1 setup and movies are 5.1 or more, but i have no option in my reciver to chose 3.1 so all sound from the back speakers are just cut of, making some effects that uses all speakers sound funny, the option 3.1 in systems does not mix the back surround in with the fronts/center.
how do i solve that, and why is there even an option in audio to choose 2.0-7.1 when it's not even do anything? if i have all my speakers 5.1 and choose 3.1 they still play sound in my back speakers?

It does not work when using passthrugh... if you let XBMC handle the sound it works like i want
