it looks like a player problem which is affecting party mode because its issuing a stop action...

it starts with this error that the codec could not be initialized:

31-03-2006 09:15:32 error caudiodecoder: unable to init codec!

this error condition somehow stops playback:

31-03-2006 09:15:40 debug playback has finished

i'm not sure why its stopping playback.  under normal error conditions, the playlist player skips to the next item, and only aborts after 100 consecutive errors.  (if this happens, you get a popup dialog telling you theres a problem with the playlist and it clears the playlist when you close the dialog.  did you get a popup?)

anyway, the error condition is issuing a stop action but party mode is configured to disable itself on a stop action.  (ie, its as if you hit the stop button on your remote.)

i do not get any dialog or pop-up... the playlist clear and everthing stops playing. it does this everytime i use it. i upped to build 04/01 and still happens.

everything i know at this point is in the log. i'll do more troubleshooting this evening and post back here.

it is happening with cds too... i've updated the bug i posted on sf with the log
