Hello,

I am a newbie and would like to get started with getting a player which i can hook to my TV. I am kind of confused between Matricom G-Box MX2 and Raspberry pi and also there are some players being sold on ebay around 60 bucks. Can anyone please guide me which player is good to go with ? any insight will be appreciated.

That forum is a good place to start, but I know that when I was a newbie myself, I was a little overwhelmed by the content there.

So, first thing's first...what's your budget and would you prefer a self-build or a self contained unit? Do you like to tinker or do you want something that's more likely to just work?

Answering those, I can give you a few suggestions, but you'll then need to do some research yourself on what you think is the best option for you.
