I've just installed XBMC on a Acer Iconia W510 essential tablet running windows 8 pro. The problem I'm having is that every time I run anything on it like say a movie or TV show all I get is a grey flickering screen, the audio is great though.

Any Ideas

I have the latest drivers

Turn off hardware acceleration under video playback settings.

Over all xbmc will play a lot but I find using vlc works better on this particular chipset.

Just a suggestion, use the free update to Windows 8.1 from the appstore or whatever its called, lots of bugs have been fixed sense Windows 8
